Production efficace d’installations avancéesToday, Nichia issued a press release stating that on January 13, Nichia filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Feit Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as & quot;Feit & quot;), a US manufacturer and distributor of LED lighting products. The patent for the LED filament involved (i.e. U.S. Patent No. 9,752,734 to Nichia) relates to an LED light bulb in which the LEDs are configured to look similar to a traditional incandescent light bulb. In the indictment, Nichia sued about 200 different Feit products for infringing one or more of the 21 different patent claims.
Nichia stated that after making breakthrough progress in the research and development of LED filament technology, Nichia filed an application for US Patent No. 9,752,734 in 2005. Nichia & #39;s record of innovation in many areas of LED manufacturing and design (including LED filament) is one of the reasons why Nichia can maintain its position as the world & #39;s leading LED company.
With the increasing popularity of LED filament products in the United States, major manufacturers of lighting products have entered the filament lighting market without due consideration for Nichia & #39;s patents. Nichia has started to exercise its basic patent rights for LED filaments to protect this very valuable technology and maintain fair competition in the market.
